Introduction
Leadership is not confined to only the top and second levels of management. Preparing executives at the middle and senior levels for leadership roles is very crucial and essential. Such an approach of leadership development will, to a great extent, take care of the leadership crisis being faced by many organisations. Leadership roles include developing competencies not only of managing but mentoring and influencing others to help them accomplish desired results, having the ability to see the bigger picture, having a clear vision in line with the organization's strategic plans and communicating it across the team, identifying individual strengths and delegating accordingly, and monitoring progress towards pre-defined goals and objectives listening objectively and empathetically, being organized and the ability to manage stress.
Objective
The objective of this 3-day programme is to prepare managers for leadership roles by enhancing their competencies, both at the professional and personal levels. This would help them to take a proactive approach to make the best of the challenges thrown up by the present complex business environment.

Pedagogy
The methodology will be highly interactive and will involve a mix of Lecture, group discussions, case discussion, role play, simulation game, and self-assessment through psychometric questionnaires with feedback

Faculty
Regular, experienced faculty of the AIM New Delhi, premier business schools and business leaders from corporate will conduct the sessions.
Venue & Duration
The three days MDP will be held at Asia-Pacific Institute of Management situated on Delhi–Mathura Road, near Apollo Hospital, Jasola, Opp. Sarita Vihar, New Delhi on non-residential basis. Institute will provide help in arranging accommodation in nearby hotel on payment basis, if required.

DR. S.P. CHAUHAN
Dr. Chauhan is a Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management. Prior to joining AIM Dr. Chauhan was with FORE School of Management, New Delhi as a Professor of OB & HR. Earlier, he was also associated with Shri Ram Centre for IR & HR, New Delhi as a Professor and as a Director with Centre for Management Development (CMD), Modinagar and Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management – Research, New Delhi. He has received his Ph.D. in Psychology from Panjab University, Chandigarh.
He has been involved in several research projects. Some of the research projects to his credit are: Employee Satisfaction Survey for NTPC; Impact of Change in NDPL, New Delhi; Industrial Scenario and IR Climate in of Uttaranchal State; Study of HR Policies and Practices in NTPC; Performance Indicators of six Delhi Police Stations sponsored by Bureau of Police Research Department; HR Policies and Practices for NHPC; and Organizational Climate Survey for ONGC.
He has conducted training programmmes for organizations such as NTPC, NHPC, ONGC, EIL, NSPCL, BEL, NALCO, Power Grid Corp., NDPL, Maruti Udyog Ltd., BPR&D, Whirlpool, DCM Engineering, etc. He has been a guest faculty to several organizations such as MDI Gurgaon, Institute of Manpower Research (IAMR), Indian Law Institute, Food Corporation of India (FCI), IFFCO, Haryana Institute of Public Administration (HIPA), Fortune Institute of International Business, NTPC, NCERT, Delhi Police Training Centre Jaroda Kalan, AIIMS etc.
He has authored a book - “Effective Leadership: Strategies for Better Results” and published 29 papers in the well known journals like Indian Journal of Industrial Relations, Vision: The Journal of Business Perspective, Management and Change, Global Business Review, Indian Journal of Training and Development, Productivity, Paradigm, Dr. Chauhan has also presented several papers in national and international conferences.
Dr. Chauhan’s specific areas of expertise are: Personality Profiling, Professional Obsolescence, Developing Positive Attitude, Leadership, Managing Change, Team Building and Group Dynamics, Values and Ethics, Conflict Management, Motivation, Emotional Intelligence, Coaching, Counselling and Mentoring, HR Practices etc.
