The Eighth Convocation-2005 of AIM was held in the Institute’s B.B.Verma auditorium on November 19th, 2005 at 4:30 P.M. The academic procession consisting of Chief Guest, members of the Governing Body and AIM’s Faculty members along with selected students entered the auditorium at the scheduled time. They were dressed with maroon, red and black gowns as per tradition and band music was played to mark the beginning of the Convocation Ceremony.
The Chief Guest Mr.Tajinder Khanna, Chairman, Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd., inaugurated the function. He talked about the need for good governance in Indian organisations to keep employees motivated in their jobs. He also talked about business ethics, which is so essential for future growth and acceptance of Indian products and services worldwide.
It was indeed a gracious event to see that the Chief Guest Mr. Tajinder Khanna and Chairman of AIM, Mr. A.K. Shrivastava amongst the applause and cheers by the distinguished gathering, awarded the diplomas to the students. The gathering included renowned academicians, eminent industrialists and executives of the corporate world and alumni of the Institute.
Prof. V. Thyagarajan the then Director, talked about the phenomenal growth of the Institute since its inception in 1996. AIM has emerged as a premier Institute of the country imparting education in the field of management and information technology. The Institute has already built a magnificent campus equipped with the “state of the art” infrastructure and the plans are already under way to diversify into other graduate and undergraduate programmes.
AIM takes pride in providing quality education and creating an ambience for intellectual development of managers ahead of time.
The Convocation Ceremony ended with an evening full of joy, fun and excitement. The pride of achievement and happiness was writ large on the face of graduating managers who received the Diploma. |
