FACULTY EXCHANGE PROGRAM |

IDRAC’s International School of Management, France |

We continue to get ahead with the basic objective of enhancing the scope of the agreement with IDRAC’s international School of Management. Success speaks for itself with the facts that our Student Exchange Program with IDRAC has been extremely successful. Last year only seven French students had come to attend the first academic year of the PGDM program but this year ten French students came under the student exchange program. This refiects a very important fact that we have been able to meet international academic standards in our campus and at the same time develop very close ties with IDRAC. That is quite an achievement in such a short span of two years.
The success of the Student Exchange Program convinced us that it is the right time to get ready with Faculty exchange program. The interesting thing is that IDRAC international School of management has also been equally keen to get ahead with Faculty Exchange Program. Mrs. Favre Benedicte, Head International Relations , visited us on August 12, 2008 and we had extensive discussions with her to work out the details of the Faculty Exchange Program. Mrs. Favre Benedicte during her recent visit also addressed the
AIM ’s faculty and the students about IDRAC’s International School of Management. Her presentation was well received by the students and it was very motivating for AIM’ s students to apply for student exchange program. We expect to send nearly 10 students to France this year.
The Faculty Exchange agreement is ready to be signed and executed. This would definitely bring the two institutions much closer. We further look forward to enhance the scope of the agreement by exploring the details of the joint research agreement, which will be taken up next year. The noble objective of this exchange program was to foster ties between two cultures and further promote the feeling of friendship, understanding and togetherness between France and India. We feel that academic partnership is the best route to develop this kind of friendship and understanding between two cultures. We have come a long way to achieve our noble objective.
