student activity: Asia Pacific Institute of Management

The AIM Theatre Club was launched in 2008 with the objective of bringing the wonderful world of dramatics to our students. We are assisted in our endeavour by an NSD trained teacher, Mrs Monisha Goswami, who has more than 20 years of experience in theatre. The club meets regularly to rehearse for plays ranging on a wide variety of subjects from communal harmony, philosophy and human relationships.

This is a platform for the students to discover their inner talents, while developing at the same time their elocution skills and building self-confidence. Apart from putting up plays, budding artists also learn about lighting, costumes, set design, décor, script-writing, etc. The club organizes visits to Theatre Festivals in Delhi-NCR for enjoyment and appreciation of famous plays.

They say Entrepreneurship and Innovation are the appropriate responses in economically challenging times. The Entrepreneur- ship Cell (E-Cell) is a key initiative by the Institute to give impetus to development of entrepreneurial skills. The E-Cell of AIM oper- ates in collaboration with National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN). E-Cell provides students an opportunity of meeting with expert entrepreneurs. Students participate in the events with a lot of enthusiasm and in particular get immense exposure at very lively sessions with successful entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurs who have visited the campus during E-Week, include Mr. Sudershan Banerjee (MD & CSO, IMB-Advisory), Mr. Rohit Sarin (Founder Partner, Client Associates) and Mr. Kunwer Sachdev (Chairman Sukam Power Systems). Cash prizes were awarded to winners of different competitions.
