In a rapidly evolving global economy, the foundation of national growth lies in creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship. Recognizing this, the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, took a visionary step by establishing MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC).
The Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), is systematically redefining the landscape of higher education by embedding a vibrant culture of innovation and entrepreneurship across campuses nationwide. Designed to catch brilliant minds during their most formative academic years, MIC provides the critical mentorship, platforms, and resources needed to transform raw student ideas into tangible, market-ready prototypes. To drive this vision locally, MIC spearheads the creation of Institution’s Innovation Councils (IICs) within selected higher education institution.

At the Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi (IIC ID-IC202216961), innovation is the cornerstone of sustainable business leadership. Established during the foundational 2022–23 cycle under the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), Government of India, our Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) serves as a high-impact catalyst for transformation.

Moving beyond traditional business curricula, IIC-AIM systematically nurtures an elite paradigm of corporate innovation, strategic venture creation, and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) awareness. Through an intensive annual calendar of Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDP) and startup incubation, we successfully bridge the gap between brilliant student ideas and market-ready enterprises.

Prepare institute for Atal Ranking of institutions on innovation achievements framework.
Establish function ecosystem for scouting ideas and pre-incubation of ideas.

Function of IIC

To conduct various Innovation, IPR and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by MIC in time bound fashion.
Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.
Organize periodic workshops, seminars and interactions with entrepreneurs, investors and professionals.
Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.
Create an Institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects.
Organize Hackathons, idea competition and mini-challenges with industries.
