PGDM in financial Management : What All It Involves?

PGDM in financial management is a 2-year full-time course which is reviewed and updated every year by Asia-Pacific Institute’s Academic Advisory Committee that comprises industry stalwarts and faculty from our institute and other top b-schools of India. Asia Pacific institute offers a duly recognized PGDM in banking and financial management. It is AICTE recognized and is also recognized by Ministry of HRD (Govt. of India).

PGDM (BFS) is technical and very demanding in terms of efforts and time. Students need to dedicate themselves fully to this programme for two years. Relevant case studies and projects are taken up regularly to bring in the practical aspects of finance.

The course is designed to equip the students with skills to execute responsibility in handling financial and banking services. This curriculum comprise in-depth study of financial management, business statistics, business communication, management information system, managerial economics and decision science, marketing management, and many more.

As per the practice, the students are required to gain hands-on experience in the second year of this programme. Furthermore, the students can select the super specialization on elective subjects such as security analysis, investment banking, strategic financial management, financial risk management, taxation, international finance, portfolio management, etc.

PGDM in financial management prepares the students to take up leadership or managerial roles in reputed banks and financial institutions in India and abroad. The programme also deals in explaining students the strategic financial approach taken by the government to partner with private players. This is taught to help them understand the current financial and business environment better.

The students are also empowered with the understanding of the fiscal and financial functioning of the government to face the challenges of corporate financial management. This programme focuses on the key areas in public financial management.

Students learn the fundamentals of E-business, economics, and financial management; this helps them the economic aspirations of the country.

After successful completion of our PGDM Banking & Financial Services Program the students also develop an understanding to the extent of handling issues of capacity development, timely delivery and quality control for government to ensure smooth economic progress of the country.

The students are also taught the basics of E-business and Applied information technology to ensure that the students are abreast with the technological advancements of the world.
