01. What is the XAT 2027 registration last date?

The last date is 6 December 2026, as shown on the official XAT website. Registration opened on 15 July 2026. Complete your form well before the deadline to avoid portal congestion.

02. How much is the XAT 2027 registration fee?

The standard fee is ₹2,300, with ₹200 extra for each XLRI programme you select. Indian candidates applying for PGDM (GM) through GMAT/GRE pay ₹2,600, and NRI, foreign, PIO or OCI candidates applying through GMAT pay ₹5,000.

03. Who is eligible to register for XAT 2027?

A recognised bachelor’s degree of at least three years, or an equivalent, in any discipline. Final-year students can register if they finish their final exams by 11 June 2027. Colleges may set additional criteria.

04. How do I apply for XAT 2027?

Register on xatonline.in, verify your email, log in, fill academic details, choose up to six test cities, upload your photograph and signature, and pay the fee. Keep the e-receipt as proof of payment.

05. What is the XAT pattern 2027?

XAT 2027 has 95 multiple-choice questions in 180 minutes. Part 1 covers Verbal and Logical Ability (26), Decision Making (21) and Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (28). Part 2 is General Knowledge with 20 questions.

06. What is the XAT marking scheme?

Part 1 awards +1 for a correct answer and deducts 0.25 for a wrong one. The GK part has no negative marking and is not counted in the percentile. Published summaries also mention a small penalty for leaving more than eight Part 1 questions unattempted.

07. What is XAT Decision Making and how many questions does it have?

Decision Making has 21 questions based on case-style situations where you choose the best action among competing options. It tests judgement, stakeholder awareness and trade-off analysis, and it counts towards the percentile.

08. Can I use an XAT score for AIM's PGDM with Operations?

AIM lists XAT among accepted scores and names Operations among the specialisation areas of its PGDM – General programme. Applicants also need a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks. Confirm the current structure on AIM’s programme page.
