Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand is President, Business Development and Strategy at Vedanta , a Multi-National Company in Ferrous and Nonferrous metals etc. His achievements are Operationalisation of Coal Mines, Setting up Aluminium Park, Sourcing of Bauxite, Conversion of IPP to CPP and Advocacy of Major Issues of the Company with Central and State Government. He has more than 37 years of experience in Mining & Manufacturing Sector: Steel, Coal & Aluminium Industry. Formulated Marketing Plan of Vishakapattanam Steel Plant, a Navratna CPSU. He has Developed Vision, Mission, Corporate Plan, Business Model for NALCO and for Aluminium Industry - 2030. He has also developed new business verticals for Nalco in Green Energy, Caustic Soda, Merchant Mining, Lithium. He has been awarded Excellent Performance Award from Hon’ble President of India. Also Ravi J Mathai National Fellowship Award by Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand . Been awarded as Top Achievers of Odisha Award by Times of India . NIPM Ratna Award by National Institute of Personnel Management, apex body of HR. He begged India Achievers Award for Excellence: outstanding professional achievements and inspiring social contribution by Shri Bibek Debroy, Chairman, Economic Advisory council to PM & member, NITI Aayog. and Institutional Excellence Award constituted by scope from Hon’ble President of India.
