Independence Day Celebration
Asia-Pacific Institute of Management Celebrates India’s 72nd Independence Day
On the beautiful morning of 15th August, Asia-Pacific Institute of Management , New Delhi, one of the best PGDM colleges in Delhi NCR, celebrated India’s 72nd Independence Day. The day started with the flag hoisting ceremony.
The Chairman of the Institute, Mr. A.K. Shrivastava, Guest of Honour (also, Former Chairman & Managing Director, MMTC Ltd.), Dr. B.B.L. Madhukar, and Chief Guest of the event, Brig. Sunil Moudgil (Retd.) together unfurled the national flag. The lamp lighting and flower welcome was followed by a welcome address by the Officiating Director of the Institute, Dr. S.P. Chauhan.
The chief guest gave a thought-provoking speech which made everyone present in the auditorium think about their country from a whole new perspective. He spoke about the pain and sacrifices that our ancestors had to endure to free our country from the foreign rule, and the immediate actions that the countrymen need to take if they are to see India emerge as world leader in the decades to come. The atmosphere inside the auditorium turned all the more patriotic when the college’s first ever musical band, Antarag, which means close to the hearts, took the stage and performed. The Independence Day celebrations ended with a souvenir presented to the Chief Guest, vote of thanks, and National Anthem.
