Are your Programs recognized and approved?

Yes. All the programs in AIM are approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Govt of India. This recognition improves the value of the PGDM diploma and it makes fruitful in the competitive Era. The college is also going to be affiliated by NBA accreditation in the due days. Further Asia Pacific Institute of Management has been ranked 7th amongst Private B- schools in Delhi and 9th amongst all B -schools in Delhi NCR by the most authentic Business today 2019 ranking.

What is the teaching methodology you follow for education Program?

Pedagogical tools are matched with the needs of the individual program and emphasize on active participation rather passive assimilation. The basic tilt towards the case study is the major tools which give the concept clarity to the student. It is supplemented by group exercise, role plays, games lectures and presentations by the participants.The students are encouraged to actively participate in college events, entrepreneur projects with discussion forums.

Will there be guest lectures from the Industry experts?

In each module it is compulsory to have 2 guest speakers. Therefore in a semester there are minimum 12- 15 guest visiting to address the students. This helps the students in gaining business experiences and makes them accustomed to real corporate life apart from classroom learning. It transforms the students into successful businessman, entrepreneurs, leaders and great human beings. To name a few, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee prior to his election as President, Lord Meghnad Desai eminent politician, Dr Kiran Bedi -social activist and many more.

What is the usual class size?

The class size varies between 45-50 students. The lecture-cum discussion is smaller in size to encourage the students for better interaction and more personal attention.

Will there be any Internship?

Students’ internship is held in between third trimester and fourth trimester in every PGDM batch.Internship is mandatory for all students and is facilitated by a dedicated team of industry expert. Each students needs to complete their internship as it has a very high weightage in the curriculum. The internships imbibe excellent managerial skills in the students and give them first hand industry experience to them. This industrial visit works like a challenge, test and validate the classroom learning. In return, the companies gain insights into the quality work done at AIM. Major companies for summer internships are Britannia Industries Ltd, Essar Projects India, ICICI bank Ltd, Aditya Birla Group, Reckitt Benckiser, Bharti Airtel, NIIT, Kotak Mahindra, State Bank of India and more.

How are the Programs different?

All the Programs are designed and specialized keeping the current market and industry development in mind. We have following subjects like Human resources management, Banking and finance, Marketing, Operation, and International Business.

PGDM (General): Dual specialization program- From above subjects in this course student makes choice for their two major subjects.

The focus here is primarily on building a strong foundation and on the concept clarity to ignite the analytical skills and managerial temperaments required for advanced and specialized courses offered in the second year.

Students with diverse academic backgrounds choose this program to be well versed with various functional areas namely, human resource, operations, and information technology in addition to the conventional specialization.

PGDM (Marketing): Dual specialization program- One major and one minor subject To meet the corporate demand, new electives have been added namely, digital marketing, event and media management and strategies for emerging markets and others have been introduced in the curriculum. Workshops have been introduced to provide hands- on training on the latest digital media technique.

PGDM (International Business): Dual Specialization program- One major and one minor subject here we are teaching integration of the Indian economy and businesses with the global environment. As a part of the curriculum for International Business, we offer global exchange program for students preparing them for International market.

PGDM (Banking and Finance Services): Dual specialization program- One major and one minor subject develops 'quality' banker attitude through a carefully devised curriculum. It teaches the most modern finance and accounting methods, and helps students to seek key positions in the Banking and Financial sector of India and abroad.

For last 24 years we have offered specialized and new programs in Post graduate diploma in Management (PGDM). Our programs have been consistently reviewed and approved by AICTE and Ministry of HRD, Govt of India.

For this silver jubilee 2020-22 batch the programs are as follows:

PGDM (General Management)-This program is spread over a period of 2 year full time divided into six terms. Total Intake -180 seats

PGDM (Marketing): For 2 year full time divided into six semesters. Total Intake = 60 seats.

PGDM (International Business): Program is designed for 2 years full time divided into six terms. Total Intake = 60 seats

PGDM (Banking & Finance services): It's a 2 year full time course divided into six terms. Total Intake = 60 Seats.

What are the selection criteria for admission in PGDM program?

AIM offers two year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Management programs i.e., PGDM, PGDM (International Business), PGDM (Banking and Finance) & PGDM (Marketing). All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved all these programs. The essential eligibility criteria and fee structure for the different categories are as follows:

Doc Documents verification: Every applicant should submit a self-attested photocopy of each of the following documents at the time of GD and PI:

  • Mark sheet of Class X
  • Mark sheet of Class XII
  • Mark sheet of Graduation (all years/ semesters)
  • Certificate for age proof
  • Degree/ Provisional degree.
  • Valid Score card of CAT/GMAT/XAT/CMAT /MAT whichever is applicable.
  • Work Experience certificate (if applicable) from a registered company having turnover of Rs. 25 Crores or more for the preceding financial year i.e. 2019-20. The work experience should be in executive or supervisory role for a minimum period of one year as on 31/01/2020.
  • Company sponsorship certificate (if applicable)

*All final year college students are also eligible to apply, however they all need to produce the provisional degree/final year result of Graduation with minimum 50% marks in aggregate on or before 30th September 2020, failing which the institute has every right to cancel the candidature of the student.

Does Asia Pacific Institute of Management (AIM), New Delhi has any Scholarship scheme?

At Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, we believe in rewarding the hard work and excellence achieved by meritorious students in their academics. The final merit list for scholarships are strictly reviewed and evaluated by the academic committee at AIM. All scholarships are subject to an interview with the scholarship award committee.

Do you have any other relaxation Scheme?

No, we do not have any relaxation Scheme, but we do provide 5% of additional weightage to girl child to encourage them for their emancipation in the society.

What facilities do you offer at the AIM campus?

The Asia-Pacific campus has every facility which matches the world class level, and it is strategically located in the posh area of south Delhi and is well connected with all modes of transports. It favours the experiential learning style which is helpful to students to understand any topic with ease.. How is the PGDM program different from MBA?

MBA is a degree program, while PGDM is a diploma program. The PGDM diploma certificate is awarded from any AICTE approved autonomous college, which designs and crafts its curriculum in matching with the prevalent business requirement. While an MBA degree is awarded from the institutes affiliated to University, and they run the curriculum based on the syllabus of that particular University. Both the MBA degree and PGDM diploma are important, but the adaptability of the PGDM program with the current business requirement makes it more admired and sought after program.

Faculty is one of the most important resources for an educational institute. We recognize the importance of faculty with doctoral degrees or with 15- 20 years of industry experience. They contribute to national and international journals and collaborate with a broad range of agencies to develop and execute consultancy projects. How students communicate with the faculty other than class room timing?

Our academic team works with high spirits and with full dedication for the student's future with one prime focus to inculcate the quality and most relevant management education to them. They even provide a keen interest on the PGDM curriculum and regularly update it with the relevant and current dated demand form the business world. and all-round development. Preferable communication medium is through email. However, a student can talk over telephone. We also have an online portal (TCS) for students to express their ideas, suggestions and any query. We follow open-door policy where students may approach the faculty outside the classroom after seeking appointment. In case of urgency faculty, is available for their students at all time.

What about the Students Exchange Program?

To provide global exposure to our students in PGDM International Business (IB) we offer an international exchange program. Based on our international collaborations with different universities and B-schools namely AIM, University of Liberia (West Africa), AIM, MacEwan (Canada) and IDRAC, Lyon (France), students get a wide range of exposure, knowledge and experience. Students in large numbers come to our institute to exchange experience, knowledge, information culture and language to strength our bond globally. This kind of exposure is extremely useful from their career perspectives in the long-run.

How do Students manage assessment and placement in the foreign University?

Students participate in the exchange program depending upon the mutual schedules of AIM and foreign business schools. The credits they earn are transferred to their assessment. The placement process for such students is kept open for a longer period and their joining is negotiable by the placement cell. This is done because we feel an international experience is a great exposure adds to their professional career.

When do the placements start for PGDM students?

The acceptability of the Institute is based on the strength of its placements. A large number of companies have faith in Asia-Pacific Institute of Management and in our quality of students. Placements normally begin from November every year and we have 1150 plus long list of regular recruiters and every year we provide quality placement to students with good salary package. A few national and international corporates start coming in from December, and the final offers are made or decided only from the month of January and till their passing out month in July. How can I apply for the PGDM course?

Online Admission Process

  • Create your new account to apply online.
  • After logging in successfully, the admission form will be displayed.
  • Kindly fill all the details correctly as the same details will be used for filling up the admission form and to checking up the status of the application later on.
  • Applicants must fill complete online application form with all mandatory star marked rows.
  • Finally submit the application form along with the non-refundable application fee.

Which payment modes are accepted for paying fees through PAYTM?

What are the guidelines specific to different modes of payment?
