The Finance Club of Asia Pacific Institute of Management Organised Panel Discussion On " Five Trillion Dollar Economy by 2024: Vision, Challenges and Roadmap for India" on Wednesday, 19th February 2020. The eminent panellists were Mr. R S Rajan, Cofounder & director, Livpure Private Limited, Group CEO Privi Group, Mr. Tony Chazhoor, Managing Director, India at IPC Integrated Professional Cleaning, Mr. Manmeet Pal Singh, Sr Vice President, Large Corporates & PSU Banking at Kotak Mahindra Bank, Dr. S.K. Gupta MD and CEO, IPA of ICWAI, CA Atul Jalota, Group Chief Financial Officer & Board Member, SAR Group of Companies. At the end of the discussion, they concluded that India has full potential to become a 5 trillion dollar economy by the year 2024.

The session started with the lamp lighting and floral welcome of the guests by the Director, Dr. M.P.Singh. Dr. Anindita Sharma (Professor) was the moderator of the event. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr. Abhishek Maheshwari (ACP-Finance).

The discussion was dedicated to the PGDM students to make them aware of the vision of the present government towards achieving a 5 trillion dollar economy by 2024. Although the way is very challenging if we see recent GDP growth of the country, it has hit a six-year low, and virtually all economic indicators are pointing downward. Economists see no signs of a significant upturn soon. But in the next five years, a series of reforms will make India, one of the most powerful economies of the world.
