Dr. Vikas Gupta is Professor – Economics and Area Chairperson – Admissions at Asia Pacific Institute of Management, with additional responsibility for Placements. He brings nearly three decades of experience across higher education, global banking, academic leadership, and executive development. Before joining AIM, he served with NatWest Group in India and the UK for around 24 years, including as Senior Vice President, where he led transformation and leadership initiatives in complex, highly regulated environments.
Dr. Gupta’s work lies at the intersection of Economics, International Trade, Sustainability, Strategy, and Leadership, reflecting a strong commitment to linking academic inquiry with managerial practice. An ICF-accredited Professional Certified Coach (PCC), he has worked with 200+ leaders across India and the UK. He has published in ABDC/Scopus-indexed journals, contributed to research and curriculum development, presented at prominent academic and professional forums, and was awarded First Prize at the 2nd Sustainability Case Conference, IIM Nagpur, in 2026.
