2k19 Farewell Ceremony For The Outgoing PGDM Batch Of 2017-2019
Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi, organized the orientation ceremony of its 24th PGDM Batch on 1st July, 2019 at the B. B. Verma auditorium located within the campus of the college. The day began with a Yagna which was attended by Shri A.K. Shrivastava, Chairman of the institute, Dr. A.R.Subramanian Director of the institute, faculty members, students, as well as the non-teaching staff.

Mr. Pankaj Dubey (MD-Eicher Polaris) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Mr. Vishal Srivastava (Executive Director – with Grant Thornton India), were invited as the guest of honours at the ceremony. Along with the chairman and director of Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, the guests at the event lighted the lamp while the chants of Saraswati Vandana oozed abundance of positive energy in the environment.
Bouquets were presented to the guests at the event by the chairman and director of the institute as tokens of appreciation. Dr. A.R Subramanian delivered the welcome speech. In his usual style that speaks of his wide experience and passion for learning and growth, he motivated students to have their goals on paper and stick to them no matter what comes. He shared with students several ideas like maintaining a diary and developing a focused approach to education and growth, which was duly noted down by the students present in the auditorium.

Mr. Pankaj Dubey, also a TED Speaker, started with wishing students and asking students to perform a simple exercise (jumping on one foot for 30 seconds) since our initiation day coincided with the International Day of Yoga. He shared his life story and how his sheer determination to become a sales and marketing head helped him achieve his goals despite all around him, including his senior, constantly telling him that he wouldn’t be able to get to his goals. By the time he finished with his speech, one could feel a whole new energy inside the auditorium.
Mr. Vishal Srivastava, also an alumnus of Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, started his speech with a question as to why the students present in the auditorium wanted to do an MBA. This made the session interactive right from the start. He later went on to explain what makes most of MBA students unemployable and the edge that Asia-Pacific Institute of Management gives to its students that make them industry ready. The chief guest at the ceremony,. He encouraged our management students to make the most of their time at Asia-Pacific Institute of Management and smartly prepare for the rewarding careers that corporate India has to offer.
The ceremony ended with the Vote of Thanks given by Dr. Abhishek Maheshwari for a successful inauguration ceremony. The Faculty Introduction & Academic Review for the orientation of the 24th PGDM Batch was held on the same day at the B. B. Verma auditorium. During this introduction session, the new PGDM students got to learn about their faculty and the learning system of the institute. More such motivating and informative sessions have been planned for the days to come, along with the bridge courses that would be delivered by the faculty members of the college to help students prepare for their first year session.
