We, at Asia-Pacific Institute of Management (AIM), New Delhi are happy to share that the National Commission for Women (NCW) had invited our female students to be part of their 26th Foundation Day celebration. The NCW has organised this event to focus on women entrepreneurship. Around 12 female students had attended this event, where they have witnessed the discussion regarding women entrepreneurship & empowerment in India.
Some of woman entrepreneur like Chetna Gala Sinha, Revathi Roy, Kanika Tekriwal, and Shailli chopra shared their success stories and deliberated on the challenges faced by them across different sectors. Along with this, they discussed how the environment could be made more conducive for aspiring women entrepreneurs. The whole event was enthralling and became an engaging platform to encourage girls who are pursuing their career in business administration.
NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma has addressed the audience and said that “women entrepreneurs represent a large and untapped resource for generating jobs and high-growth businesses, and that this segment of our population needs a framework for developing entrepreneurial skills, vocation education/ training for economic and social empowerment.”
Our girls were delighted after attending this event because after attending this event they have realised very well that it is crucial for a girl/women to be financially independent. Therefore, this morale-boosting event has helped our girls to ignite their women empowerment spirit.
