What is the CAT cut-off 2026 for PGDM?

There is no single CAT 2026 cut-off applicable to every PGDM programme. Each institute can establish its own eligibility and shortlisting requirements. Candidates should check the current programme-specific criteria rather than relying on a universal percentile list.

What is a good CAT percentile for PGDM admission?

A good percentile depends on the programmes you are targeting. Compare your official overall and sectional percentiles with each institute’s published requirements. A percentile that is relevant for one programme may not have the same significance for another.

Does CAT percentile guarantee PGDM admission?

No. Meeting a CAT percentile requirement can support eligibility or shortlisting, but final selection may include academic performance, interviews, written assessments, work experience or other declared criteria.

Are sectional CAT cut-offs important for PGDM?

They can be important when a programme specifies sectional requirements. Candidates should therefore review VARC, DILR and QA percentiles separately instead of considering only the overall CAT percentile.

Can I use a previous year's CAT cut-off for 2026 admission?

Previous-year figures can provide context, but they should not be treated as official CAT 2026 requirements. Admission policies, programmes and selection criteria can change between cycles, so verify the current information before applying.

Is CAT score or percentile more important for PGDM applications?

The official percentile is generally more useful when evaluating published admission requirements because institutes may specify percentile-based criteria. Your score remains relevant to understanding performance, but it should not be confused with the reported percentile.

What should I do if my CAT percentile is below my target?

Rebuild your programme shortlist using current eligibility and selection requirements. Identify CAT-accepting PGDM programmes that match your profile and also consider programmes accepting other recognised management entrance examinations where appropriate.

Should graduates consider factors beyond the CAT cut-off?

Yes. Once you have established eligibility, compare curriculum, specialisations, fees, selection stages, industry exposure and career relevance. The entrance percentile is only one component of a broader PGDM programme decision.
