PGDM (IB) Course Structure

Post Graduate Diploma in Management International Business - PGDM (IB)

 
The Post Graduate Diploma in Management International Business - PGDM (IB) - program is spread over a period of two years and is divided into six terms. This program enables imparting knowledge to students relating to several aspects of management and addresses itself to the growth of a company’s business - be it national or international. 
 
Knowledge of all MBA / PGDM level subjects and additionally knowledge of a few international business subjects, spread across domains such as Global marketing, International Finance/Financial Markets and Foreign Currency Management, Commodity trading, Global supply chain management, WTO, International Trade Logistics, Sectoral Export Business strategies etc.
 
PGDM (IB) - First Year Course

The course in the first year carry 1 credit each and have been designed as per the AICTE & Industry requirements and equip students in understanding and comprehending the basics of disciplines and functions of business management.

Summer Internship Programme(SIP)

 

Summer Internships are an integral part of the education imparted at Asia pacific Institute of Management. This is serious business. When students intern, they work on projects that the company has entrusted to them. The outcome could mean a career with the company and very valuable lessons on a working life. Depending on the company and the project entrusted to them, Summer Internships could last anywhere between eight to ten weeks. Students need to submit a detailed project report on successful completion of the assigned project. Also, they have to make a formal presentation to a panel consisting of Faculty and external members from industry / academics.
 
PGDM (IB) - Second Year Courses
 
The Programme offers the student a Major in the area of International Business, along with a Minor in any other area, thus opening up a broader choice of careers. The second year courses are a mix of compulsory (core) courses and electives in the specialization areas of student's choice.

There are two compulsory courses in each term. The student selects a total of twelve elective courses, eight from the Major area and four from the Minor area, as shown under. All courses carry 1 credit each.
