Summer Internship Programme (SIP) :
6 to 8 weeks

Completion of three terms in the first year of MBA Marketing make the students eligible to undertake Summer Internship Programs in industry for gaining hands-on experience. Asia Pacific Institute of Management being one of the top 10 B-Schools in Delhi, PGDM Marketing has an excellent track record of sending students for SIP of eight to nine week's duration where the students are able to get practical exposure to various assignments and enables better decision making of a particular business process. Students not only have to make a formal presentation to a panel consisting of Faculty and external members from industry/ academics but also, submit a detailed project report.

PGDM Course - Second Year

The Programme offers the student a Major in the area of Marketing, along with a Minor in any other area, thus opening up a broader choice of careers. The second year courses are a mix of compulsory (core) courses and electives in the specialization areas of student's choice.

There are seven compulsory courses in each term. The student selects a total of ten elective courses, six from the Major area and four from the Minor area, as shown under. All courses carry 1 credit each.

Dissertation

  • Selection of project by student in his/her area of specialization.
  • Submission of Synopsis as a project proposal to the assigned Faculty Guide.
  • Approval of Synopsis by Faculty Guide.
  • Execution of the project under close supervision of Faculty Guide, with periodic progress reviews and evaluation.
  • Submission of detailed Project Report, followed by presentation by the student before a panel consisting of Faculty and external members from industry/ academics.

Pedagogy for the Value added Courses

Personal Transformation Lab

Asia-Pacific Institute of Management strongly believes in the holistic development of a student. We not only make students an efficient professional but also let them understand the importance of self-development. In this accord we offer Personality Transformation Labs to our students. This Lab will basically help students in grooming their personality and preparing them for corporate interface. 

Objectives:
  • Develop an insight into self through introspection and reflection & self-analysis.
  • Developing feedback sensitivity.
  • Identifying personality characteristics and their impact on one’s behavior, relationships and working.
  • Charting a roadmap for self-development.
  • Understanding and building competencies for positive transformation.
Delivery:
  • 10 hours in each term - Term I, Term II and Term III making it a 30 hours full credit course.

Entrepreneurial Lecture Series

The Entrepreneurial Lecture Series is an opportunity for students to understand the journey of an entrepreneur. This is one of the first kind of activities that will be introduced in India by AIM.

Objectives:
  • To sensitize students toward entrepreneurial ventures driven by alumni and young entrepreneurs.
  • To connect with startups for live projects if any.
Delivery:
  • It is a non-credit sensitization course. Five lectures in each term - Term III, Term IV, Term V.

Experiential Lecture Certificate Courses

Apart from giving theoretical knowledge APIM also emphasizes in experiential learning. Experiential learning is the process of learning through experience. Apart from the Elective Courses offered in different specializations each student has to study 4 Experiential Learning Certificate Courses. One Experiential Learning Course needs to be studied in each term, starting from Term II.

Objectives:
  • To give additional contemporary experiential knowledge to the students.
Delivery:
  • Each student is required to complete minimum four certificate courses.
  • Students are required to complete one course in each term from tern II to term V.
  • These courses will be opted by the students from the list of certificate courses provided by Institute.
